In one of the most anticipated preseason soccer matches South Florida defeated Akron 2-1 in front over 2300 fans in Tampa, FL.
On hand for the match were several US Soccer Youth National Team representatives including U20 Head Coach Thomas Rongen, Tim Ryder and Jason Peters.
Additionally players from the FC Tampa Bay Rowdies present included Josh Lambo (K-Dorm Alum '90 - GK) and Julian Valentin.
