It's The Terps!

We Are the Champions!

The 2008 ACC Champs became the 2008 College Cup Champs with a win over ACC rival UNC.

The match was a spirited one between two teams very familiar with each other, as each set to secure the College Cup Crown.

Congratulations to K Dorm Alum - Zac MacMath (91-GK) and his Maryland teammates - 2008 College Cup Champs!

Hats off to K Dorm Alum Alex Dixon (90 - F/M), Billy Schuler (90 - M/F), Kirk Urso (90 - M), Sheanon Williams (90 - D/F) and the Tarheels in their impressive run this season culminating as College Cup Finalists!

It's ACC All the Way!

The verdict is in...It's an ALL ACC College Cup Final!

In the 1st match, in what has to be an amazing upset, UNC (the 13th seed) defeated Wake Forest (the 1st seed). UNC displayed an early sense of urgency and maintained their composure to render the upset over Wake and advance to the Final. What a sweet sense of revenge for the earlier loss during the regular season!

In the 2nd match, Maryland persevered after over 104 minutes of play to defeat St Johns in double OT, sending the Terps into the Final. St. John's bid to represent the Big East in the Final ended when a spectacular free kick by Maryland's Zusi found the back of the net.

Now that the Final has been decided, predictions anyone? Will Maryland continue it's phenomenal winning streak? Or will UNC avenge their regular season loss to Maryland (as they did with Wake) and claim the College Cup Championship?

There is no doubt that 1) The match should be very exciting and 2) K Dorm Alum(s) and teammates will be 2008 College Cup Champs!

BTW - Kudos to Nic Millington (91 -M), Daniel Wenzel (90 - D) and their Deacon Demons teammates on a stellar season - Wire-to-Wire #1 ranking with only 2 losses!

Predictions Anyone?

The teams have arrived and the stage is set for the 2008 College Cup Semifinals which take place tomorrow.

Predictions Anyone?

Will we see an all ACC Final or will St. John's continue to impress making it an ACC-Big East Final?

The Final teams are yet to be decided, however one thing is clear:

K Dorm Alum will be participating in the Final and may even be declared 2008 College Cup Champs - Way to Go Guys!!!!
