Australian Youth Olympic Festival - Soccer Update

The U18 MNT's 1st match resulted in a physical 1-1 draw as USA comes back from a goal down to share the points with Chile.

Paul Okon's side will be back in action tomorrow against the impressive Chileans who played out an entertaining 1-1 draw as Chilean captain Jose Silva's 20th minute goal was cancelled out by the USA's Amobi Okugo's second half equaliser.

In the day's other match, Australia defeated China 7-1.

Next up for the U18 MNT is China today.

"I think we have enough quality players in our side to test both Chile and the USA but we are going to have to step it up if we are going to compete with them," Okon said.

Australia and Chile will kick-off tomorrow 5pm before USA tackle China at 6pm. All matches are being played at Valentine Park, Glenwood and are free to attend.
